  1. Which only means that Adele has the greatest album of all time, knocking Michael Jackson’s Thriller to #3 behind the soundtrack to “The Sound Of Music” It looks like Michael Jackson has been defeated and surpassed by Adele’s album 21. Pretty soon, Billboard will be claiming that Justin Bieber has more top 10 albums than Michael Jackson. Of course, the Bieb’s first album was in 2009, the year Jacko kicked the bucket.

Poor Michael, his records are easily being shattered by inferior talent.

  2. Just beat it, beat it, beat beat…beat….beat…

Lip syncing Wacko was a riot. About as talented as Milli Vanilli. lol.

  3. 15 Years Ago: The Beatles Compile Their Biggest Hits on ‘1’
No artist in the history of music has logged more No. 1 hits on the pop charts across the globe than the Beatles. Superstars like Elvis Presley, Mariah Carey and Michael Jackson have come close, but all of them pale in comparison to the stunning run made by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr between 1963 and 1970.
On Nov. 13, 2000, the Beatles collected all of those huge hits into a single-disc collection titled 1 that itself blew away expectations and shattered records.
The compilation was a joint venture taken by the then-three surviving members of the band and their producer George Martin. The criteria for selection was actually a little more convoluted than it might seem at the outset. Ostensibly, any song that logged a spot at No. 1 on the Record Retailer in the U.K. or on Billboard in the U.S. made it onto the disc – but some massaging of the definition took place.
For example, “For You Blue” made it to the top of the charts on Billboard as a double A-side with the “The Long and Winding Road,” yet was excluded. Meanwhile, the featured “Day Tripper” made the top spot in the U.K. as a double A-side with “We Can Work It Out,” but it failed to reach the top in the U.S.
Fans didn’t seem to mind. From its first week in stores, 1 surpassed nearly everyone’s expectations, racing to the top of the charts in a record-breaking 35 different countries. It eventually went to sell well over 31 million copies worldwide and has been certified as the best-selling record of the 21st century.
In November 2015, the Beatles revisited the iconic collection by giving it the deluxe reissue treatment and renaming it 1+. The new set featured all of the same songs, but completely remixed in both 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS HD surround audio. They were accompanied by second disc that featured dozens of the Beatles’ fully restored promotional films.

  4. Adele’s Grammy-winning 2011 release “21” was deemed by Billboard magazine the greatest album of all time based on chart position and the soundtrack of the 1965 Julie Andrews movie “The Sound of Music” came in second.
The British singer racked up the most weeks – 24 – for an album by a woman atop the Billboard 200 album charts and saw 78 weeks in the top 10, Billboard said in a ranking released this week based on chart positions dating to 1963.
Adele’s follow-up album, “25,” is due to be released on Nov. 20. The first single “Hello” has already broken records for digital sales and music video views.
The Billboard rankings used a descending point system that awarded the highest value for weeks that an album spent at No. 1 with consideration for changes in chart-ranking methodology over the years.
Despite having a record 19 No. 1 hits, The Beatles placed only 54th on the all-time great album rankings with “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” which spent 15 straight weeks at the top in 1967.
But the Fab Four from Liverpool were named the top all-time act, followed by The Rolling Stones.
Country-turned-pop singer Taylor Swift, who has had four albums hit No. 1 since 2006, gave her a No.8 ranking in the greatest acts. Billboard noted she was the only act among the all-time top 30 to have started a chart career since 2000.
The Oscar-winning “Sound of Music” soundtrack spent a record 109 weeks in the Billboard 200 top 10 and was a regular presence there from 1965 to early 1968.

  5. Adele’s album 21 released in 2011 is now the ‘greatest album of all time’.
The singer’s album has become the greatest album ever by spending the longest of any album from the last 50 years at the top of the chart.
21 spent a whopping 24 weeks at the top of the Billboard chart with a total of 78 weeks in the top 10. It has been measured against charts dating back to 1963. The Sound Of Music soundtrack from 1965 came in in second place.
Amazingly, The Beatles came in at 54th as their album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band only scored 15 weeks at the top. But they were named the top all-time act.
Taylor Swift came in at a respectable number eight, Reuters reports.
Now the pressure’s on for Adele do score the same with album 25.
Listen to her new single Hello from 25.

  6. The rock ‘n’ roll legend’s reign at the top of the chart continues with If I Can Dream, which features reworkings of his classic hits by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Elvis’s record notched up 88,600 combined chart sales, meaning it now has the second biggest weekly chart sales of any No.1 album in 2015.
Elvis Presley’s popularity even seems to be growing again. His collection If I Can Dream, which mixes classic hit vocals with backing from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, exceeded its first-week tally. Returning to the Top 40 this week are Elvis Presley’s Elv1s – 30 Number 1 Hits (37).

  7. NME’s Columnist Katherine Ryan On Priscilla Presley

    By Katherine Ryan
    13th November 2015

What I’m certainly not going to do in this week’s column is call anyone a paedo. I want to make this absolutely clear. No one is a paedo. Your secret’s safe with me. I mean, Whoa! What secret? That was close. But… (and it’s a massively consenting adult butt) I’ve been wondering lately about the media’s take on historical accounts of abuse by celebrities, and what the criteria for outing them might be. R Kelly married Aaliyah when she was just 15, but that’s all fine for some reason. He had been her mentor, producer and the lead songwriter on her debut album, ‘Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number’ which was recorded when Aaliyah was 14. The lead track helped define R&B in the ’90s and remains, to me, the anthem of grooming. There would be allegations about R Kelly’s involvement with other underage girls in the years following Aaliyah’s death, but he’s got a new album coming out soon so, you know. Unlike his 2013 album, ‘Black Panties’, this one’s got a single all about barbecuing! And hopefully a few more about Christmas jumpers and how kids say the darndest things.

Priscilla Presley was in London recently promoting ‘Elvis At The O2’, the largest Elvis retrospective in Europe; an exhibition of his legacy through more than two million personal artefacts from Elvis’ Graceland home. She spoke on Loose Women (hey listen, I had a day off) about her ex-husband as a woman who’d never fallen out of love with him. “We were very close after our divorce. We were very loving… I was with him for 15 years. Here are some bongos I bought him when I was 14. I mean, what does a 14-year-old girl get Elvis for his birthday?!” How about a f***ing restraining order!! Urgh. So she’s counting the time before she and Elvis Presley were officially married. She was indeed 14 when the two met at a party in Germany. Soon after, Priscilla moved to America to be with Elvis but lived with his parents to finish high school instead while he gallivanted around Hollywood, denying affairs with his co-stars. Priscilla’s dad reportedly pushed the marriage anyway, stating that Elvis should stick to his agreement.

Yes, it was a long time ago. But what – because we like Elvis Presley, we just sweep it under the rug? Well I don’t like Elvis Presley. And I also find something very sinister in Priscilla – the Scientologist – Presley shopping around everything he ever touched in her mobile museum. It took her less than 30 seconds on the ITV chat show to remind us to buy the new album,‘If I Can Dream’, his 12th chart-topping record in the UK, released posthumously, of course, for what would have been The King’s 80th birthday. Priscilla is executive producer on it. She asks Elvis’ adoring public to “keep his legacy going”, but just replace “his legacy” with “my tennis lessons” and you’ve got what I heard.

If there’s a lesson here – which there is not – I guess it’s to try to be the child bride of a very successful hoarder. No. It’s, uh, not to die in a plane crash? Wait. Maybe we can have it all: great music made by people who don’t marry teens. A girl can only dream.

    • Funny how jackson fans always show their hatred on a daily basis…just the NASTIEST people ever.

      • You stupid., and you zero.! For the fact, tath one and only is the king for all the world, and this the King is Michael J. Jackson. And this is forever. I love you dear Michael…. We love and miss you……. MJJ forever

    • All the ***** m**** Michael Jackson violated were viciously abused by Jackson’s disgusting body. Of course, the scarecrow paid out at least $200 million dollars to silence 20 different families, while abusing both **** * . and ***** *. He also flew to other countries to have various flings with unknown ***** ***** that were paid to do s***** favors for the p******** Michael Jackson in secret hotel rooms across the globe. Like Gary Glitter, Michael Jackson was a serial predator that liked his m*** l***** to be really, really y****. Sorry, but Michael Jackson is denied the respect, the honor or the praise that his brainwashed fans continue to demand. Since W**** was an extremely famous celebrity, everything he has done was recorded, documented by law enforcement, the courts and even by his legal settlements of checks paid out to various victims.

Again, we praise and honor Dr Conrad Murray for his expert services of eliminating Michael Jackson from this world forever. We continue to celebrate the life and times of the most famous doctor on planet earth. You did a wonderful job, Dr Conrad Murray. You continue to be rewarded as Michael Jackson remains in the grave where he belongs. Thank you, CM.

  9. Elvis is currently #1 with his brand new “If I Can Dream” album. The true king will always be Elvis Presley. 🙂

Over 38 years in death, he sits on the throne undefeated.

  10. Well, I haven’t been here in a while, but it looks like nothings changed. Elvis is still at the top. Seems appropriate. Rock on Elvis fans.

  11. In 2008, Andy Warhol’s 1963 silk screen painting, “Eight Elvises” was sold to a private buyer for a record breaking $100 million dollars, making it the most valuable modern artwork by Andy Warhol at the time.

You stupid Michael Jackson fans lose over and over again.

  12. Actually, I had previously believed that Elvis earned his 51st top 10 on the UK charts with his latest #1 hit CD, “If I Can Dream” I stand corrected. But it was really his 53rd top 10, his 12th British #1 album.

    Thanks for the update.

Oh, BTW, Michael Jackson better start working if he wants to catch up to Elvis’s record breaking top 10 and #1 albums. Of course, he can not because he failed to record enough music and now he is over six years in the grave. You Michael Jackson fans are such a riot.

May I spell it out for you?

    S-O-R-E
    L-O-S-E-R-S

    Boo hoo 🙁

    • Michael got only $115 millions against the fat disgusting elvis ($55 millions) in Forbes. In auction , the guitar of john lennon got millions against the fat elves-o ($600,000). Get a life

      • And Michael Jackson’s estate made $140 million the year before. Subtract $115 million. That means that the estate actually lost $25 million. Michael Jackson’s keeps dropping in income every year, while Elvis makes the same. He never drops in income.

        But Michael Jackson does.

Besides, one of the most expensive pieces of modern art is a painting of Elvis by Andy Warhol called, “Eight Elvises”

It was worth a record breaking $100 million dollars in 2008. Since then, has only gone up in value. Elvis is the Last Supper and Michael Jackson is a cheap print. Worthless. lol.

  13. His maids spoke of spinning turds coming out of the skeleton at Michael Jackson’s Neverland estate. The scarecrow is on candid camera defending his habit of sleeping with young males in his bed. I know that most kids do not want to be Michael Jackson. He was an embarrassment. Dr Conrad Murray admitted that he held Michael Jackson’s dribbling wiener, while the scarecrow was dying. He was nude in front of his home care physician. Jacko also held conversations with his baby dolls and mannequins.

Hilarious how far Jacko has fallen since his pathetic death in 2009.
